This Empty Vessel releases newest single, “Joey’s Getting Mad Again”

This Empty Vessel follows up their debut single with the release of “Joey’s Getting Mad Again” on August 8 via Soundcrest Music Group. The tense, unflinching track is the second single from their upcoming full-length album NOD, due February 20, 2026.

“Joey’s Getting Mad Again is one of the more pointed songs on NOD,” says TEV’s J Booth. “It’s about the cycle of hurt — how pain gets passed down when it’s never addressed. There’s a rawness to it that we didn’t want to polish away. It’s supposed to feel like a warning.”

Led by Jennifer McLane’s urgent and visceral vocal performance, the song pairs alt-rock grit with dark, cinematic undercurrents. TEV’s core members — Gerald Josef, J Booth, and Wes Bishop — built the track around jagged guitars, driving drums, and a looming sense of unease, creating a soundscape that mirrors the lyrical tension.

This Empty Vessel will continue releasing singles through the fall and winter, each offering a deeper look into the sonic and emotional world of NOD.
