Since then came “Joey Is Getting Mad Again.”
“Sway.”
“Maybe.”
“17.”
“Clean.”

Each song carried its own weight.
Now they live together.

NOD is the debut full-length from This Empty Vessel — fifteen tracks built slowly, deliberately, and without shortcuts. Across the record, the group leans into tension, restraint, fracture, memory, longing, and confrontation. Nothing is ornamental. Every lyric earns its place.

In the ache of:

“Knock knock, welcome home…”

In the distance of:

“You always seem to leave / 17 seconds before we’d meet…”

In the confession:

“If you don’t know that you’re the best part of me / Then that’s my fault.”

In the reckoning:

“Gather all the debris between you and me and burn it clean.”

These songs were never meant to stand alone.
They form a single arc — from collision to clarity.

NOD is not nostalgia.
It’s lived-in.

NOD was written by Gerald Josef, J Booth, and Wes Bishop, and produced by Josef and Booth, with Jennifer McLane performing lead vocals across the record. The result is not a collection of individual tracks, but a fully realized body of work — deliberate, cohesive, and meant to be heard from beginning to end.
