Soundpeak Music Publishing Signs This Empty Vessel

Songwriters Gerald Josef, J Booth, and Wes Bishop have signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Soundpeak Music Publishing, the BMI-affiliated division of Soundcrest Music Group.
With a background in writing chart-topping songs in both the U.S. and Germany, Josef and Booth launched TEV with Bishop as a personal outlet — a space to build sonic worlds from the ground up. Each project explores themes like memory, disconnection, and dreamlike drift, using the studio as an instrument in itself.
“I’ve known Gerald and J for more than 30 years and have always respected their creativity, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking approach to songwriting,” said William Chapman, President of Soundcrest Music Group. “Their work has consistently pushed boundaries, and I believe they still have a great deal to offer. We’re excited to support their continued evolution through this partnership.”
The agreement includes the trio’s upcoming music, including their first single “Valentine,” arriving June 20 via Soundcrest’s label arm. The full album by This Empty Vessel, titled NOD, is slated for release on September 26, 2025.
Regarding the selection of the first single, J Booth shared: “Choosing a first single is never easy—you connect with all of them in different ways. But we felt, along with the team at Soundcrest, that ‘Valentine‘ was the right introduction to the album. It sets the tone and invites people into the world of NOD.”
Josef, Booth, and Bishop will be represented globally by Soundpeak Music Publishing, with Soundcrest Music Group providing administration, creative development, and label distribution for all upcoming releases.
