It’s about feeling safe, desired, and completely seen by another person. It’s a celebration of trust, vulnerability, and the quiet moments that often say the most.”
The recording process reflected that same sense of closeness. Sessions were centered in Kristiansand, with additional production completed in Oslo. Magnhild recorded lead vocals and acoustic guitar in a professional studio while crafting backing vocals at home, where she could experiment freely. Live backing vocals recorded with her childhood friends Oda Rolfsnes and Erik Hove Holtet brought an unmistakable warmth to the track, while remote contributions from Magnus Holm on synthesizers and Hans-Kristian Holthe on pedal steel guitar added texture without losing the song’s intimate feel.
“I wanted Touch Me to feel warm, intimate, and organic,” Magnhild says. “Rather than following one specific influence, I focused on creating a sound that felt authentic to me and reflected the tenderness and closeness at the heart of the song.”
